Grand Departure
20" x 24", Acrylic on Canvas, 2007
Available

Take yourself back to December 1937 at 21st Junction (also known as Alton Jct.) in Chicago. Imagine standing
here in this wintry scene, witnessing the departure of Pennsylvania railroads flagship passenger train, the
Broadway Limited to New York. Steam and smoke thunder from the #5396, one of Pennsy’s famed K-4 Pacifics,
as it leads its train across numerous diamonds and into the snow filled day.
